Who Needs a Transitional Year Program?
The MSU/KCMS Transitional Year Residency Program offers a broad-based, general clinical experience for those who:
- Plan to enter a specialty training program with a clinical experience prerequisite, such as anesthesiology, ophthalmology or radiology.
- Are undecided about their career choice.
- Have a public health service, military or similar obligation.

Our Transitional Year Residency is a flexible, well-balanced program that will help you prepare for your specialty training. During your one-year residency at MSU/KCMS, you'll have:
