The Department of Research has been structured to encourage research-oriented scholarly activities to foster the most updated and effective Graduate Medical Education for medical students, residents and faculty, which will greatly contribute to the enhancement of care for our patient population.

Dr. Luis Toledo

Luis Toledo, MD, PhD, is a professor of surgery and medical humanities at Michigan State University, Director of Research at Michigan State University Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies, and Director of Surgery, Research Science and Molecular Biology at Borgess Research Institute in Kalamazoo, MI. Dr. Toledo is also a member of the Literature and Technical Review Committee of the National Library of Medicine of the National Institutes of Health. He is the current president of the Latin American Transplantation Society and secretary of the International Transplantation Society.
