For Patients

MSU/KCMS, as a teaching facility, offers a team approach to your healthcare. Physicians seeking advanced training in their field of expertise at MSU/KCMS are called "residents." The full-time physicians at MSU/KCMS who provide this training are called "faculty" or "attending physicians." Your care will involve residents, faculty, and medical students. You will also have access to our nursing staff, pharmacy staff and social workers.

Your physician (resident) will discuss your care with a teaching physician (faculty) at each visit, ensuring you have the comprehensive knowledge and experience of two physicians for your healthcare needs.

To assist us in providing excellent care to all our patients, we ask that you notify us no later than one hour prior to an appointment you are unable to keep.  We serve only patients from Kalamazoo County in our primary care clinics:  Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Combined Medicine-Pediatrics, and Pediatrics.  All other clinics serve patients from not only Kalamazoo County but southwest Michigan area as well.
