All MSU/KCMS residency programs either require or encourage resident participation in research projects. As a resident, you may be a collaborator in a ongoing study or a principal investigator in a small clinical or laboratory study. MSU/KCMS sponsors "Research Day," an annual research competition involving all the institution’s residency programs. Resident research projects are presented at state and local specialty societies and a number have been honored at the national level as well.
