Dessert Social

Partners of MSU/KCMS residents - Join us for a special evening of desserts and coffee, mixing and mingling at the Kalamazoo Country Club during the week of Resident Orientation. This is a great opportunity to meet others in your shoes.

Party Picnic

Get ready to meet and eat. Residents, spouses, significant others, teenagers and little tykes are all invited to join us for an afternoon in the park. This catered event will feature great food and the opportunity to meet your peers in a relaxed atmosphere.

MedMates Fun

Fun for All Ages

Bring your whole gang or just yourself to the special events. Past outings have included a visit to an apple orchard and a real pleaser is the Holiday Greens event held each December.

Playgroup

If you're sick of the toys at your house, join other parents and kids at our weekly playgroup, which meets in residents' homes and at kid-friendly area attractions. Past fun has included holiday parties, berry-picking, and trips to the museum and the fish hatchery.

Adult Only Offerings

Adults' Night Out

Wine tastings, matinee and a meal, night at the theater... These are just a few of the activities that allow all adults involved with the residency program to take time out from the demands of work and home.

Craft Club

Even if you're no Martha Stewart, you can make greeting cards, ice candles, decorative soaps, and color-tinted black-and-white photos with our bi-monthly Craft Club. (In fact, most people come for the conversation, not the crafts.)

Just for Guys

In its third year, these guys-only gatherings have included rock climbing, poker night, and paintball. All of this male bonding takes place every other month throughout the year.

Girls' Night Out

These gals have gathered to rock climb, enjoy a spa night, and dine at a themed restaurant. Events take place six times per year.

Book Club

Calling all book worms! Our book club meets every other month to discuss contemporary literature while making time for light socialization.
